It's over...

Just look at us....we were SO sad to have it end! Time flew by and we all just had a blast! Girls, for real...I love you! We can't wait so long between getting together....and those of you that missed it....dang it, make it next time all right!? Maybe I will try to be less out of control so I don't embarrass myself or my Mom. But I am not making any promises!:) Sometimes you can't help what comes out at 2am....know what I mean!? THE GIRLS WEEKEND!!!! Was SO fun!! As you can tell by this picture some craziness was going on....Not sure about my Sister-in-laws fascination with my booty.....but I don't look too bothered! Hahaha!!

We really did have such a good time. Stayed up way too late, ate way too much, and laughed till our sides and cheeks hurt! We got a ton of scrap booking done too! (i guess that was the point, right!?)

I may or may not have been totally out of control and completely inappropriate at times. (who knew?) But the saying goes...."What happens at Girls weekend, STAYS at Girls weekend!!" At that is the rule I am going to follow! Unless.....

Reasons why Jason reminds me of my brother Alan......
Well, first of all he drools a lot right now. Which brings back sweet memories of Alan when he was around fourteen (right, Mom?) He used to drool when he would talk and we just thought he was a 'lil 'special. But it is sweet to see that Jason takes after him in that way. I just hope he out grows it before Alan did.
And man, Jason has some serious gas. If you know Alan. At.All. You will know why this trait reminds me of him also.
Yes, I know I have a terrible habit of ALWAYS talking about how cute my baby is, but NO that isn't really something that reminds me of Alan....
Hmm, I guess that is mostly it...Yup. Drool and Gas. Alan, I am so glad that I named my sweet boy after you....isn't he precious?

work, work, work

Really it's not as bad as it sounds!! We can pretty much get them to do anything, if we promise a fire! Hahahah!! It is actually pretty funny how that works out!

Today.

Ahh! Today was perfect. This afternoon the sun came out and we just played outside when the kids got home from school! It was so nice! We got the lawn mowed....well we started mowing until Seth ran over some 'dirt' and bent the mower blade. Nice. It is going to be hard enough to afford gas for the mower this year and we already have to by a blade. Sheesh! :)
I just LOVE being outside and feeling productive. It is such a sense of accomplishment for me. I love how the driveway looks swept, the garage cleaned out, the flower beds weeded....you know, just that type of stuff! Such a strange thing to admit for myself, because as a teenager I would have sworn that that would be the LAST thing I would have enjoyed!!
So, we got a lot done tonight and I am happy. The kids loved it too, so we made a FHE out of it. Seth built a fire, and we stacked wood, and just worked together. We talked a lot about the garden we are going to plant this year, and have lot's of plans for that! Jason couldn't get enough of being outside! He thought he was in Heaven. It was so cute. I got some great pictures of everyone.....Have a great night.

That is how many happy, blessed years my parents have been married! They are the best example of compromise, love, kindness and respect I have ever seen. I am grateful to have their example to follow and hope to be as happy as they are! Happy Anniversary you two! (April 18) I love you!

Another question....not about Jerry Springer! :)

Alright so a month or so ago, I got pulled over for running a red light. In my defense, I was on a highway that had a 55 MPH speed limit, and I wasn't speeding. I looked up at the light and thought I had enough time....well the light turned red AS I was crossing the line. The Police Officer was very rude, and gave me the ticket. Anyway, I am wondering if you have ever gone to traffic court, and did it make a difference,or should I just suck it up and pay the ticket!? It really bugs me because I don't have any other things on my record. And I don't want the FIRST thing to be running a red light!!! AHHAAYAYAH! Pretty much this is keeping me up at night, and I am STILL really ticked about it! SO, I would really like to hear your opinion. Bring it!

Wow!

Conference was AMAZING. Was it not?! I have a total soft spot in my heart for President Monson. I love his humor, and that he tries to keep such a straight face. Well, and not to mention that he is Swedish...:) I however especially loved the talk by Elder Ballard. It was exactly what I needed to hear. I am going to try harder to not over schedule our time and just enjoy these little ones. (I have been struggling with that, lately!) I am just so grateful for a living Prophet and Apostles that guides us. That gives advice, and that can speak to our souls. I forget how blessed I am sometimes, and am glad for the reminder! I also love that we can listen and each of us individually can get what it is we needed to hear. So, what was your favorite talk?

SO we were driving through Salinas on our way to Dennis and Alicia's.....and I just had to take a picture of this. It totally cracked me up.

A really good time...

A trip to California would NOT be complete with out a visit with 'D'uncle Dennis, Alicia and Logan! It was so nice to go over and just hang out with them for a while. We really had a blast. We got to laughing SOOO hard at one point...(you had to be there)
SO, thanks Dennis and Alicia for having us over! It was way fun to see you all and visit....Logan is so darling! I loved just listening to him talk, and play. You two are amazing parents....and it was really nice to see Gramma and Grampa Doan's old house!! We miss you guys already!
