what a difference....
a year makes!! I was going through 'old' pictures and I happened to notice these are almost a year ago....(by less than a week!) I am constantly surprised at how time flies, but it is hard for me to grasp how much they/ we all change in such a short time! It makes me really glad that I have a camera and can capture a tiny bit of how things are, when they happen. I found out a long time ago that the things we think we will NEVER forget, eventually are forgotten. How lucky we are that we have the capability to preserve some of the memories of our families. I believe it is our obligation to do that for our children. If not with photographs at least with journals.....what do you think!??! It makes me want to be better at capturing the 'real' life moments....the ones that really show who we are and how we've evolved! hmmm, so much to think about!! :)

Great thoughts (as always.) I can tell you that even the things you think you will never forget -- you will. It just happens. So you're right on the need to keep track of things so that they won't be forgotten.
My step-mom told me once that she was too busy living life to take pictures of life. For a while it made me wonder if I should step out from behind the camera, but that thought only lasted a day... I just can't help but capture the moments of life because I do forget the little things...and I really don't want to. I tell my friends who are camera shy that if they don't let me take their picture, they will never exist in my history. I want my children and my grand-children to have a window to the world "back in the day." And ditto for journals. I'm an avid journal writer for the same reason. You're just right on my friend! :)
