My very first....

ever, ever, ever quilt top. I am making this for Katie. It is called a disappearing nine patch and if you ever thought about making a quilt and you were just to scared.....This my friends, is the quilt for you!! It looks like so much more work than it is! I am so exited to have done this.....I need to double the size of it, and am having a hard time talking myself into starting that....but I love it. I love the fabric and the design....I can't wait to finish it with the borders I have planned and show it to you done!! Yeah for learning new things!! (you all know that I am in NO way a quilter.....never wanted to be. but I admit it now that I do enjoy it.....It really is fun to learn something new. but please, don't spread it around. I talked a lot of crap on those "other" people that sew!) Hahahahah! *hanging my head in shame*

The last big snow...

Seriously....snow in April!! No way, I didn't believe the weatherman...it had been in the 70's earlier in the week. There was NO way it would really snow!!

Yup, it did. And the kids had one last snowman making day in it! Gotta love the Missouri weather!

My little Helper....

Jason is such a good little helper! :) Always into EVERYTHING!! He especially likes to unload the dishwasher while I am loading it!! My favorite, of course! ;)
I had already put all the dishes away, when I came in the kitchen to find him examining the dishes in the cabinet. I think that bowl makes the perfect hat too! (heck, it's even dishwasher safe. bonus!!)I thought he was the cutest thing ever, so I had to snap a few pics of the sneaky little man. I love you Mr. Jason

Girls night out......

For Katie's "friend" party this year she invited Gillian and Hannah, and we took them bowling!! I lucked out and Natalie went along with me. (thank you Natalie) We had pizza, pop and ice cream.....and bowled for 2 straight hours!! The girls had a blast! It is hard to believe that my little Katie is Seven years old and next year she will be the BIG #8! Wow! I am not sure I am ready for that!

Katie's #7....

we had a very small birthday party for Katie with the Family. Grampa Ron and Grama Jenny were able to come (broken leg and all) Katie got a littlest pet shop toy, a puppy in my pocket and a new bike!! She can't wait to get out there and ride like crazy!! Happy Birthday sweet girl!! I can't believe you are 7!!

BFF's

Annie and her friend Liz were being extra crazy the other day!! Lots of silly faces and dressing up! This is just a sampling of what I found on Annie's camera! Hahahahaha, torture for when they are older! ( i so can't wait!!!!)

A new Do'

Annie has been dying to get her hair cut....so I worked it out that Annie and Liz could go together....to the Hair place that is right next door to the Quilt Shop, so that I could go with her. Liz' Mom came by with the girls and we walked down......I had to leave before Annie's cut was done, so they came back by the shop to show off their new do's. Aren't they cute!?!??! Annie is in love with her new cut....

Jason loves the dogs....

Here are a few pictures that Annie took of the dogs. The kids are so in love with them! I am not in love with puppy messes, the chewing on everything and that hay. But the kids have been doing really good with them....

Karate....

the kids have been working hard at Karate.....and loving it. They all tested and got their advanced Yellow belt. It was an exciting night, and Dad took them out for ice cream! (BONUS) Next up: orange belt.

Crazy, crazy kids......

what has happened to my sweet innocent children? I am finding out so much now that Annie has a camera of her own. (I suppose that's a good thing, right?) I think they come by their 'crazy' quite honestly. That Seth....let me tell you! :0

TWO new puppies.....

What!??!! You say.... Yup, I agreed to ONE puppy. (after much begging and pleading and many promises of feeding and cleaning up after said puppy) I did cave.....for ONE.

Seth took the kids (while I was working) to pick up the dog. My cell phone rings, and it is Seth.....he says "there is only two left. If I take one then it will be all alone. The dogs gave me this really sad face, like why are you taking away my friend. Please, can we just have two?' Seriously.....I was like whatever....so I caved. We have two of the cutest puppies ever. They are Labs and as perfect as can be.
And so far the kids have been great with them. (one is a boy and one is a girl)

Names we considered:
Jack and Bauer (after my one true love)
Brownie
Blackie
Lady
Lucky (again)
George

The names we settled on were Coco and Lucky. The kids begged for that name again. It wasn't worth a fight. :) So the kids lovingly call him Lucky number 2. (nice, eh!)

Katie....

got two awards at the Care Awards assembly. She got one for Achievement and one for attendance! She is doing so well in school and just loves it!! Good job Katie!

Jared also got an award for perfect attendance so far for the whole year!! WOW! That's amazing!
