Normally....

during the Priesthood session of conference we just hang out at home and watch a movie or do a project. Tonight it was so beautiful we decided to go to Wallace State Park and have a little fun. The kids had a blast and it was Jason's first time in a swing.

Okay, to be completely honest, we went to the park right after the last session of conference to take Caleb and Erin's engagement photo's. The moment we got home Katie realized she left her sweatshirt there, by the swings. I was like, 'Oh well'.....she was crying her eyes out, then I realized if it mattered that much to her we might as well go back. So we did. I was very surprised the sweatshirt was still there, and the kids had a blast playing again at the park. I guess it was a good thing Katie forgot that sweatshirt.....or my night would have been a LOT more boring!! :)

I hope you enjoyed your conference Saturday. We sure did. I can't wait for tomorrow! If you haven't already, check out Mom's blog....i loved her blog about conference!! It is true what she said about the comfort in knowing that you have such a support of people standing, singing and sustaining with you all at the same time. I just love being a part of something SO much bigger than myself.

The smallest plane, EVER!

Yikes! We had to ride home from Denver on this itty bitty plane. It held 20 people MAX, including the pilots. The entire thing was open, so we could see out the front window of the plane, and watch the pilot drive the whole thing. It was definitely a bumpy ride, that induced a few screams and yelps from random people. (it may or may not have been me) But seriously,I was totally freaked out. I started thinking about the commuter planes that had crashed recently, thinking 'oh good, at least it was only 18 people.' And now I was on one of those planes thinking 'shoot, we ARE people, with lives, families'...yikes. It definitely made that more real to me. On a lighter note, I did NOT have to use the stack of barf bags the pilot handed me, and doesn't Jason look adorable?! He loved looking out the window! He is such a good baby! :)

Proof!

Here is the proof I got some sand between my toes. I didn't actually get them in the water, because BRRRR! It was cold! Seth enjoyed skipping rocks in the ocean (weirdo) and I was trying out a little sun flare action. Anyway, we had a lovely time in California. I met a Girl named Olivia who is a total blog stalker like me. I have tried to convince her she needs a blog, but we will have to wait and see. I am actually really excited about meeting her....she is married to Adam who was a really good friend of mine. We have lots of memories doing crazy things (well, at least I do) and had a blast growing up together. Now we are all married and old, with kids! Weird! It was definitely fun to catch up, and I wish we lived closer cause I really could have some fun with Olivia. Good times, good times! So Girl, if you are out there, reading this.....Do comment!! :)

A day at the beach....

It was so nice to get to the beach!! We loved it. Jason loved it! It was a little windy, and Jason didn't like that. But check him out...he is sitting all by himself! What a cute boy!

Memory Lane....

Spreckles Blvd. Don't you remember driving to Gramma's house and asking Mom why they painted the trees white!? And when we sing "Over the river and through the woods" I picture this lane. Just a few random thoughts.....do you remember?

The latest obsession....

Seth is now officially obsessed about these little wonders they call "smart cars". We had to stop and check them out. I was surprised that they are actually quite roomy for two people, with NO luggage. :)
Since we have been home he did some more research on them online, and I was worried he would bug me about them, till he got one.....but has decided they aren't exactly what he wants. Whew! Dodged that bullet. He is back in love with his Jetta! Yeah!

A Day at the Wharf!

I have SO many memories of the Monterey Bay Wharf that it was a definite must-go-to place! We shared a bowl of clam chowder....the BEST ever, and I got the kids some shells at the general store!! It was a lot of fun to be there, and re-live some of the great memories we made as kids! The monkey wasn't there, though. Bummer!

Get the motor runnin'

Yup, we are on our way baby! Off to California for a week....I am looking forward to being in some sunnier weather. I hope it is warm! I am keeping my fingers crossed!
It is weird, but I already miss my kids....I worry about everything, you know. I hope they are good for Misty and Jake. I hope they don't miss the bus. I hope they don't fight like crazy. I could go on and on.
Jason is being so good already....I am hoping that lasts on the flights! Our plane is going to be full,so we weren't able to get an extra seat for Jason. Darn!
Anyway, I got lucky and Seth brought his laptop so I will be able to keep this blog somewhat updated! I will fill you in on our days out in the sun! :) See ya!

Thank you Misty! You have made my life SOOOO much easier, just knowing you will take care of my kids!! I do appreciate it! It is nice to be surrounded by family that is helpful and kind. I will hopefully be able to keep blogging from CA. We'll see! :) I really should get some sleep you know, I have a TON to do tomorrow still!! For now, that's all!
